A foiled cycling plan
Yes as the title suggest, it was a foiled cycling day because I was being a lazy bum who refused to get out of bed until 2plus in the afternoon yesterday.
By the time we reached EastCoastPark, it’s already around 4-ish.
No more time for cycling ‘cuz we’re supposed to be back at YS’ place for dinner at 6 plus.
But at least the time spent while we’re there was fabulous though.

Loved how the rushing wind seemed to blow off all our troubles as we dangled our feet over the breakwater.

Fellow beach visitors: Camwhores and emo ones too

And well, I suppose we belong to both groups. Haha!

Choppy seas.

An attempt at being artsy. =D

A stroll by the beach a day, keeps the doctors and psychiatrists away.
It keeps me sane from the hectic urban lifestyle (:
If I ever earn enough money in the future, a beach home is definitely one that I will want to invest in for old age retirement.

Imagine waking up to these every morning. (:
Shiok max.
haha!!!

Ok, I’ve digressed too much. Where was I?
Oh yes, a stroll by the beach.
And here’s to my fasination with tiny rock particles in the sand.
So colourful isn’t it? ((:

Remember what teachers always teach back when we’re young?
Take nothing except photographs and leave nothing behind except your footprints.
Not an absolutely good advice in the sense that why should we even be allowed to leave our footprints behind when doing so will only risk affecting the natural habitat as well as the natural behaviour of the animals and all in these places?
But anyways, here it is… footprints on the beach~

And that includes the birds as well…

YS with a random pong pong fruit.
He even got his feet wet when he was trying to grab hold of it before it got washed into the sea…

And see what he did to it…
Childish boy… HAHA!
And OMG! Loved the clouds.

A random flower along the beach.
No idea what it is either but found it interesting enough for a shot.
Tried researching online but I dont quite seem to get any results close to this.
Hmmmmmm… So if you know what it is, tell me…

The friends of the previous pong pong YS threw into the sea earlier…

Loved the green, white and yellow combination of this shot.
Feels so tropical. Haha!

Note to self: Bug YS to get a new pair of shoes soon.

There were two strands of thoughts running through my mind when I snapped this picture.
1) The grandeur of Mother Nature and the insignificance of Mankind…
and 2) what a great way to retire. Sitting by the beach, watching the boats and planes go by as time passes through..

Messy hair.
Spent quite a bit of time sitting by an empty BBQ pit reminscing on the days when we had BBQ together back during JC orientation.
Haha!!! Amazing how fate really brought the two of us together.

Toying with the remote self-timer.
No more setting of timer and running to get in place before time runs out.

Attempted cheesy shot but ended up looking really awkward. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

What’s a trip to the beach without shots of coconut trees?

Summing up our trip to the East Coast Park here’s me! =D
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

shopping/Friday Suppers
Our fourth anniversary was supposed to be last Tue/Wed but because of all the different school assignments that YS had to rush out over the week, we postponed it till Friday.
So yes!!! After being stuck at home with nothing much to do for the past few days, YS finally got time to bring me out!
Yippie Yay!!! =D
Went to Far East ‘cuz I was desperate to look for a pair of slippers to replace my previous pathetic one that broke enroute to the IT Fair the previous week.
But guess what, after spending like around 2 hours wandering around all the different levels, I bought nothing except for a long-sleeve working shirt for YS.
Thanks man… There goes my shopping plan.
And to top it all off, we had a super unsatisfying dessert treat over at basement 1.
The fungus soup was erm… nothing special and the ah balling soup was super gross.
The peanut soup’s way overcooked and omg… super nua…(plus! tasteless too!)
Strangle myself for choosing this… Sigh!!!
And oooh~ We brought our new camera out too!
Loved the colours… Majorly!!!
Had an early dinner over at my favourite hide-out back when I was working at HSBC years ago.
Sakura Nana Thai Seafood Restaurant.
Their seafood hor fun I tell you, is the best that I’d ever had.
Super yummy and the prawns, SUPER fresh!
Loved it!
Thai Iced Tea
Nothing compared to the ones I had back in Thailand but… oh wells.. it’s pretty alright I guess…
Sotong You Tiao which wasn’t as nice I had thought/remembered.
Partly because YS’ not having a good appetite so there isn’t anyone for me to fight food over.
Haha!
And well, good food will never be totally enjoyed without my lovely companion.
*flying kisses*
Whee~ hahahaha!
Night fell and off we went back to YS’ place.
End result: No slippers for me. Sobs!
But hey! Look at the next shot.
It’s a full moon night!
So pretty ((:
Took a short rest over at YS’s place, got changed into slack clothes and off we went to Vanessa’s place.
It’s been eons since we’ve had our Friday supper.
So yes! Here goes!

A funny photo.
Lame old-school pose. Haha!
With this biscuit that Vanessa’s mom insisted on us trying.
As reiterated by her, it’s hand carried from Australia!!! hahaha! By her of course. (:
OMG I look super cui here.
Removed all my make up when I was at YS’ place. Haha!
Edmund came too!!! A lil lil while after we arrived.
Sipping on wine lovely sponsored by Vanessa’s dad while we waited for our supper to arrive.
Mcdonald delivery!!!
What a major feast!!!
Super fattening can!!!
And remember me telling you that Vanessa has got a superb view from her balcony?
Well, here’s another shot of it.
Apparently there’s some light-up show taking place at the Marina area.
Secretly look like some UFO appearing from the clouds. Haha!
What’s more? Time check! It’s around 12-1am in the morning!!!
Had always loved my Friday supper outings.
Loved how we can just talk cock non-stop of everything happening around us.
Be it work, relationships, school, etc etc etc.
Sigh!!!
Time really flies.
It’s been eons since I’d first known Vanessa and Edmund
Coming to think of it, it’ll really be very interesting to think about how we got to know one another and the many things that happened along the way. (:
Sneaks!
YES! I’ve finally got myself settled to get the photos for the next launch done! ((:
I know I know… I’ve been procrastinating way too long…
Strangle myself… ARGHX!
Hahahaha!
Okay! First up!
For the many working ladies out there, here’s a lovely piece to chase away your monday blues!!!
Love how it is so pretty that you can simply head out of house without much accessorising
Perfect for girls like me who tend to oversleep in the morning.
haha!!

Next will be myClosetdelights’ standard apparel style. Casual Chic! =D
And wow! Me like this photo! heehee!!!
Love how this piece is so casual and yet sophisticated and stylish at the same time!
Perfect for all occasions!
Be it to school, to town or even a lazy day out with your girlfriends.

And this! Love casual crop tops! =D
Since my life still revolves around school right now, school wear is hence a tremendous attraction for me when I hunt for clothes.
And for this, why I loved this so much is because it is so value for money.
I can either wear it this way or just the tank top alone.
Either way, it is perfect for the tiresome day in school.
And the next one was the most fabulous of all.
Feels so feminine and demure while wearing this.
Plus! It is like super cooling cuz well… it’s laced! =D
Totally sheer but just pair it with a tube or a spag. top and off you go!!!
Brillant right!?!? =D
There might be more pieces coming up in the following collection but I guess I can only preview them after I manage to find them amidst the many random folders I have in my external harddisk right now.
So yeaps!
Stay tuned!!!
Lessons tml. Ciaos~
latest loots
Whoops! Went on a short hiatus from blogging again.
Firstly because I was busy with ushering and secondly, because I have no comp!!!
Went to IT fair on Sunday and traded in my old Fujitsu.
But because I’ve got work later in the evening, YS brought it home for me.
Only to pass it to me last night.
Imagine stuck at home all day with nothing to do apart from SCV-ing.
Haha!
But anyway, say hi to my new laptop.
Still trying to get used to the keyboard

And Ooo!! Got myself a new camera from the IT Fair too!
Super broke now…
Sold my old Nikon D3000 to replace it with Canon EOS 550D.
Another entry-level camera but oh wells, I had always been a lover for Canon’s colours.

Genting (day 3)
Day 3:

Last day in Genting!
The day started fabulously.
After such a long day previously, we decided to sleep in and skip breakfast

My best bellboy. *smirks*

Macs for brunch.
Back to my cui look again! haha!!!
As our bus was scheduled to depart at 2.30pm, we had much time to spare.
So, we left our luggage at the bell counter and started wandering around again.
Yes, it gets pretty boring over at Genting because there’s just so much you can do there…
We came across the genting skyway. And so, wth… off we went!
I mean it’s only RM5 per way(per pax) anyway… Haha!

The ride’s pretty creepy cuz the slope’s super steep.
The scenary and the company??? Totally priceless…

Secretly like wearing YS’ jacket.
Maximum oversized plus super duper warm~ =)
The whole ride took like 15 minutes and it was also then when the panic started kicking in.
Time check, it was 1.45pm
But the return queue over at the other side of the skytrain was freaking long!!!
So long that it is super obvious that we wont be able to make it back on time for our bus.
So… we took cab up to the top instead.
Cost us a bomb but at least we made it back on time… =D

By the way, the cab driver drove like some InitialD expert.
Cutting in and out of lanes like nobody’s business.
haha!!!

On board the bus home..
And wheee!!! there’s tv too!!! =D
THE END…
Genting (day 2)
Day 2:
Woke up bright and early in the morning for breakfast at the hotel cafe before heading to the themed park!

Bought tickets online a few days before at nearly half the price.

Enroute to the theme park (:

Started off the day with some light-hearted activities…

While waiting for our turn…

Reliving childhood memories…
or also known as cheap thrills… HAHAHA!!!

Up next! My favourite. HAHA!
Corkscrew~!!! A v crude name but damn FUN!!!!
I remember the last time I went to Genting, I rode on this for like more than 7 times!!! in a ROW…

Up next? Ferris wheel! ((:
Loved the view from atop. Heehee!!!

And did I ever mention before how interesting their carousel at the themed park was?
Well… it’s doubled-decked! =D
But to say the truth, the lower deck’s better…
At least some of the seats can actually move..
Up on the 2nd level, it’s just… seats basically. Haha!

And yes! it’s lunch time!
Had Marrybrown which is pretty much like KFC.
Personally prefer KFC though.

And it started pouring… -.-”
What a great day…

thank goodness the rain stopped after awhile and off we went again!
This time round, the supposed first rollercoaster in Malaysia, CYCLONE!
It’s super scary!!! But i likee…. GRINS
WOOHOO!!!
Too bad that we’ve bought tickets to movies due to start soon after our first ride on Cyclone.
Otherwise I would have pestered YS to accompany me for another few more rides. =D
After the movies, we headed out to the theme park again!
One thing fabulous about Genting theme park is that it’s open till 10pm!
So yes!!! Late night thrills anyone? =)

Went on the plume ride which I had NEVER EVER dared step foot on.
Not that I’m scared of the drops but more of the water that gets splashed out in the process.
But oh wells… Since we’re already here, might as well give it a try right?
Hahahaha!!!
Check out our drenched bodies in the next few pictures…

yikes… wet jeans… HAHA!!!
And well yes, antique car ride.
Something light to end our day in the theme park with.
Had dinner at the mushroom farm
GOOD FOOD, CHEAP FOOD…
Absolutely yummy.

My favourite has definitely got to be the cod fish that we bought.
It’s SUPER FRESH!!!! Screams!!!!
And the Kang Kong too!
Which the waitress said that it’s organically grown. Double YAY!!!

And what’s travelling without camwhoring?
Here’s one which I loved totally.
Loved the lighting =D
Post-thesis (+) Genting (day 1)
Here’s to roomie who’s been wanting me to continue blogging after taking such a long hiatus.
So yeaps… What happened after my thesis finally ended.
Well… life post-thesis submission was pretty much the same as before especially with class presentation of another module due 3 days following submission. So well, spent the next few days in Cindy’s house rushing out the presentation and I think we did a pretty good job!
Here’s a few snippets of us at work… (Courtesy of PeiSee’s camera)

That’s “Ali the dog”. Long story.
But super cute nonetheless…

That’s Fengyi and Ali(cia) posing with Ali
Ali desperate for attention from its owner…
While Cindy just continue doing her work… totally oblivious to its existence.
haha…
—
But I guess one thing’s definitely different.
And that is that I stop having that horrible bugging feeling tugging at my stomach every time I decide to take a break from work. =D
So much so that I went on a short weekend getaway to Genting with YS!

Pardon cui-ed bespectacled face…
Got a free upgrade of buses from Konsortium and it’s damn cool I tell you.
The seats were like super comfortable and they came with a tv screen and headsets too!
Totally fabulous for someone with as terrible motion sickness as me…

What’s a trip without the company of my bears! =D

Reached Genting at around 2pm and the first thing I did after checking in?
Well… a picture says a thousand words.
Pardon the unglam-ness of this photo. Haha!

Headed out for lunch after freshing up ourselves a lil in the room.
And well, I’ve got to say that this is the most unappetising and most bo-hua lunch ever.
The food’s bad and the price’s totally unreasonable.
We ordered coconut juice (for the fun of it) and it amounted up to RM20!
that’s like… around 5bucks for an idiotic coconut…
And it aint nice somemore… *grumbles*
To make things even worse, we overheard someone complaining to the waiter about the food turning sour, i.e. spoilt
And poof! there goes my appetite… Haixx!

Wandered around further to look for more food and yay! We chanced upon a gelato icecream booth.
But sadly, it’s another major disappointment.
We ordered a platter which cost like RM20 but it turned out as miserable as shown in the picture above.
The scoop’s miserably small and the taste just ain’t there!
And plus… it melted damn fast…

Totally disheartened, we gave up food-hunting and went bowling instead.
Check out my scores for the first round.
Totally trashed YS with my alternate strikes…
Don’t understand why I can get strikes but after every strike, my scores will be super shitty…
Waste my strikes for nothing. Sigh!!!

Had a total of 3 rounds each.
And by the time it was the 3rd, the lights dimmed and whee!!! Glow in the dark bowling!
It was pretty cool initially cuz well.. it’s cool!
But then again, it doesn’t really do good for bowling cuz you can’t aim! hahaha…
Ok… that’s for me at least.
But I still managed to beat YS though, with my noob bowling skills.
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
PS: Got my highest score ever of 110. (talk about beginner’s luck. Hah!)
Camera died on us soon after bowling
And so did our legs. ![]()
Had terrible muscle cramps for the following few days in Genting. =D
Post-Thesis
Monday was a crazy mad-rush for me as I was totally panicking about my submission.
Referencing not done, conclusion not done, abstract not done, let alone proofreading…
It was a time when I had yearned so much for my cramped fingers to type faster…
I know I know, I can only blame myself for that. For slacking the whole holidays whilst everyone else progressed ahead of me. Sigh!!! But oh wells, it’s too late to do anything now.
Now that it’s submitted, all I can do, like what YS said last night, was to pray hard that I do well for me.
And indeed! Gotta keep my fingers crossed!!! (:
Coming to think of it again, I guess my favorite part of the whole thesis have to be the acknowledgements page. It was one which I have totally no problem typing out and in fact, I really enjoyed typing it out!
I have received so much help for this thesis and without each and everyone of them around, I would be in deeper shit than what I’m already into…
So yes, my sincere-st thanks to everyone who had helped me along, be it advising, encouraging, or just simply being there for me during the darkest days, thank you.
I may have missed out a few names when I was typing it the other time, like AiFung, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate your help ok. I really appreciated it alot.
And it’s funny how thesis brought us two closer, spurring each another on.
A Huge thank you to you from the bottom of my heart.
————————–
Ok enough of emo stuff…
Anyway YS brought me out for dinner after all that mad rush and we went to Aston’s at Cathay!
Not the most fabulous place but it’s good enough for the both of us.
Plus! It’s near his school! Cuz he had left all his stuff in school earlier that day so that traveling to my house was made alot easier.
So yeps! Off we went to Aston’s and yes, the queue’s pretty long again. Waited like 30mins for our turn?
But thankfully we were given a corner seat right at the edge of the restaurant.
So ya, maximum privacy plus a lot of space (it’s a 4-seater seat)!
Had ribeye extra cut cuz I was starving from not eating anything the whole day. And it was pretty good!
Well apart from the lousy corn they gave me which was totally ewwwww

Check out my disgusting eyebags!

Watched “I am number 4″ after dinner and hmmm… It was not bad actually. Much better than what I had previously thought, that is. Was perviously thinking that it’s another cute guy, sci-fi nonsense shit show but oh wells… Ok la… Nothing really fabulous about it (IMO).
And oh! Look who came along with me the whole day! (:

Yah…. Its me and my soft toys again. You can stop rolling your eyes now… Heehee!
