Setting off on a jetplane (once again)
Oh no! I realised that I had neglected this space way too much.
Dear roomie had urged me to write a few blogposts on the various trips that I had went on but somehow, the first post had never reached the stage of “publish-able” material ever since I gave up using Adobe Photoshop Elements to shrink the many photos that I had taken. Omg… Just shrinking them is labourous enough, let alone editing them like what some people do. Sigh!!!
Anyway, I guess this will most probably be one of the last entry that I will be writing before I set off again tomorrow afternoon for my 3-week long graduation trip to Cambodia-Vietnam-Laos.
Not really a backpacker tourist this time round but more of a tourist travelling around with a backpack.
There’s a difference in case you didn’t know but oh wells, go find out yourself ‘cuz I am seriously not going to go into details of it.
At least not now.
Will promise to do an update after I return ‘cuz I myself would love to read and reminsce on some of my adventures (hopefully) once in a while later in the years to come.
But till then, ciaos!
Smuacks!
*Flying kisses to all*
:(

Yes, I am finally back but not for long.
Down with fever, cough and flu so yes… pardon me for the lack of updates. ):
Photos update (:
Here’s some super overdued photos I had gathered over the past few weeks.
Coming up first! My last presentation day!

My group: Cindy, Peisee, Alicia, Fengyi, Me…
Time really flies.
This is the last time I’m ever going to present together with these girls.
I still remember vividly the very first project I did was with Fengyi.
Our sense of place project where we wandered all over the Civic district for our field work.
Too bad my comp crashed and lost all my fieldwork photos for that project. Otherwise I’m definitely gonna post our picutres up =D

Anyway, back to topic.
Here’s a gift my lecturer gave on our last tutorial.

A photo with him.

Our opposing team.
Friendly bunch of people nevertheless.

And yes, that’s us again!
Set my camera on self timer mode this time round.
—-
Next up! It was a weekend when I tagged along my parents to visit my grandparents and greatgrandparents at the columbarium.
It was pretty crowded since 清明节’s just round the corner and we all ended up smelling like joss sticks after it all ended.
YS joined us subsequently and we headed over to SPOM for lunch.
After lunch,it’s karaoke session for the adults all the way till dinner!
Yes, that’s how long they can sing.
Here’s some pictures I took while the rest were singing.
I mean, what else can I do since I don’t sing.
Haha!

SPOM from the sides

Basking in the afternoon sun.

Was too lazy to twick the colours into black-and-white.
But I think it looked pretty nice nevertheless =D
I mean well… I took it so yes! It’s nice.

My parents came dropping by while my aunts took over the mic.
Loved the colours of this shot. =)
As I said, singing went all the way till night time.
Took some random shots here and there but got bored of it after a while.
So what I did? I went stoning while YS started his revision for his upcoming exams…
——
Last Tuesday, I finally met up with my pretty jiejie!!
Well, along with Cindy and Fengyi for a short dinner date at Vivo.
Dinner was at white dog cafe and then we had supper at this chocolate place whose name I really cant remember.

So yes, here’s my pretty jiejie, Peiwen!
She chopped her hair so short that I can barely recognise her when I first saw her from the back.

And here’s Cindy and Fengyi~
——
And then… fast forward to last Friday!
The ushers met up for Sakura Buffet over at Clementi Woods.
It’s been eons since we’ve last gathered and I must say, the turn up’s pretty impressive~

All who turned up

We stuck through all 21 sessions of Commencement 2009 together!!!

Super duper full from buffet.
What’s YS smirking at anyway?
hmmmm…
It doesn’t take someone to know me super well to know that I’m a mad lover for holiday trips.
Just look at my upcoming travelling schedules (:
16-18 April: Malaysia with parents
21-25 April: Bangkok with YS
10 May – 3 June: Grad. trip with YS
And well, that too explains my dwindling bank statements as well as my more-than-usual sign-ups of events over the past month.
(except that I actually forgot to turn up for work ytd ‘cuz I’d completely forgotten about it)
Can literally see money growing wings and flying away from me.
Sad Max.
Haha!!!
And yes, I know, I haven’t been doing my photo updates for long.
Will start sorting out the photos now~ =D
memories…
Chanced upon a Facebook video posted by one of my secondary school friend earlier on and all the secondary school memories started flooding back all over again.
Looking back at all the photos of us being all young and scrawny back then, it suddenly occurred to me as to how much I had grown over the years, how there seemed to be so many people around me that had played such tremendous role in my growing up process and how long I have yet to meet up with some of my friends.
A sudden urge to contact some of them right now.
Haix!
I’m back!!!
Yikes… Been neglecting this space for a lil too long.
The past week’d been pretty mundane with me slacking at home most of the time.
Well, that’s with the exception of Monday when my menses killed me and I had to miss my project meeting but thankfully it subsided enough for me to drag myself to meeting the folllowing day. Thursday marked the last presentation I’ll ever have in NUS. Though we lost the debate but it was nevertheless heartwarming seeing all of us working so closely together in the process. Went for some QingMing baibai-ing on Saturday with my relatives followed by an all-day long karaoke session with them at SPOM, a fabulous place for phototaking =) And yes, summing up, spent my Sunday afternoon over at YS’ granny’s place before heading to YS’ place where I spent the night watching dramas.
Having said that, I’ve got tons of photos to share.
But I think I’ll keep it till next time. Kinda lazy to sort out and resize all of them right now.
A foiled cycling plan
Yes as the title suggest, it was a foiled cycling day because I was being a lazy bum who refused to get out of bed until 2plus in the afternoon yesterday.
By the time we reached EastCoastPark, it’s already around 4-ish.
No more time for cycling ‘cuz we’re supposed to be back at YS’ place for dinner at 6 plus.
But at least the time spent while we’re there was fabulous though.

Loved how the rushing wind seemed to blow off all our troubles as we dangled our feet over the breakwater.

Fellow beach visitors: Camwhores and emo ones too

And well, I suppose we belong to both groups. Haha!

Choppy seas.

An attempt at being artsy. =D

A stroll by the beach a day, keeps the doctors and psychiatrists away.
It keeps me sane from the hectic urban lifestyle (:
If I ever earn enough money in the future, a beach home is definitely one that I will want to invest in for old age retirement.

Imagine waking up to these every morning. (:
Shiok max.
haha!!!

Ok, I’ve digressed too much. Where was I?
Oh yes, a stroll by the beach.
And here’s to my fasination with tiny rock particles in the sand.
So colourful isn’t it? ((:

Remember what teachers always teach back when we’re young?
Take nothing except photographs and leave nothing behind except your footprints.
Not an absolutely good advice in the sense that why should we even be allowed to leave our footprints behind when doing so will only risk affecting the natural habitat as well as the natural behaviour of the animals and all in these places?
But anyways, here it is… footprints on the beach~

And that includes the birds as well…

YS with a random pong pong fruit.
He even got his feet wet when he was trying to grab hold of it before it got washed into the sea…

And see what he did to it…
Childish boy… HAHA!
And OMG! Loved the clouds.

A random flower along the beach.
No idea what it is either but found it interesting enough for a shot.
Tried researching online but I dont quite seem to get any results close to this.
Hmmmmmm… So if you know what it is, tell me…

The friends of the previous pong pong YS threw into the sea earlier…

Loved the green, white and yellow combination of this shot.
Feels so tropical. Haha!

Note to self: Bug YS to get a new pair of shoes soon.

There were two strands of thoughts running through my mind when I snapped this picture.
1) The grandeur of Mother Nature and the insignificance of Mankind…
and 2) what a great way to retire. Sitting by the beach, watching the boats and planes go by as time passes through..

Messy hair.
Spent quite a bit of time sitting by an empty BBQ pit reminscing on the days when we had BBQ together back during JC orientation.
Haha!!! Amazing how fate really brought the two of us together.

Toying with the remote self-timer.
No more setting of timer and running to get in place before time runs out.

Attempted cheesy shot but ended up looking really awkward. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

What’s a trip to the beach without shots of coconut trees?

Summing up our trip to the East Coast Park here’s me! =D
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

shopping/Friday Suppers
Our fourth anniversary was supposed to be last Tue/Wed but because of all the different school assignments that YS had to rush out over the week, we postponed it till Friday.
So yes!!! After being stuck at home with nothing much to do for the past few days, YS finally got time to bring me out!
Yippie Yay!!! =D
Went to Far East ‘cuz I was desperate to look for a pair of slippers to replace my previous pathetic one that broke enroute to the IT Fair the previous week.
But guess what, after spending like around 2 hours wandering around all the different levels, I bought nothing except for a long-sleeve working shirt for YS.
Thanks man… There goes my shopping plan.
And to top it all off, we had a super unsatisfying dessert treat over at basement 1.
The fungus soup was erm… nothing special and the ah balling soup was super gross.
The peanut soup’s way overcooked and omg… super nua…(plus! tasteless too!)
Strangle myself for choosing this… Sigh!!!
And oooh~ We brought our new camera out too!
Loved the colours… Majorly!!!
Had an early dinner over at my favourite hide-out back when I was working at HSBC years ago.
Sakura Nana Thai Seafood Restaurant.
Their seafood hor fun I tell you, is the best that I’d ever had.
Super yummy and the prawns, SUPER fresh!
Loved it!
Thai Iced Tea
Nothing compared to the ones I had back in Thailand but… oh wells.. it’s pretty alright I guess…
Sotong You Tiao which wasn’t as nice I had thought/remembered.
Partly because YS’ not having a good appetite so there isn’t anyone for me to fight food over.
Haha!
And well, good food will never be totally enjoyed without my lovely companion.
*flying kisses*
Whee~ hahahaha!
Night fell and off we went back to YS’ place.
End result: No slippers for me. Sobs!
But hey! Look at the next shot.
It’s a full moon night!
So pretty ((:
Took a short rest over at YS’s place, got changed into slack clothes and off we went to Vanessa’s place.
It’s been eons since we’ve had our Friday supper.
So yes! Here goes!

A funny photo.
Lame old-school pose. Haha!
With this biscuit that Vanessa’s mom insisted on us trying.
As reiterated by her, it’s hand carried from Australia!!! hahaha! By her of course. (:
OMG I look super cui here.
Removed all my make up when I was at YS’ place. Haha!
Edmund came too!!! A lil lil while after we arrived.
Sipping on wine lovely sponsored by Vanessa’s dad while we waited for our supper to arrive.
Mcdonald delivery!!!
What a major feast!!!
Super fattening can!!!
And remember me telling you that Vanessa has got a superb view from her balcony?
Well, here’s another shot of it.
Apparently there’s some light-up show taking place at the Marina area.
Secretly look like some UFO appearing from the clouds. Haha!
What’s more? Time check! It’s around 12-1am in the morning!!!
Had always loved my Friday supper outings.
Loved how we can just talk cock non-stop of everything happening around us.
Be it work, relationships, school, etc etc etc.
Sigh!!!
Time really flies.
It’s been eons since I’d first known Vanessa and Edmund
Coming to think of it, it’ll really be very interesting to think about how we got to know one another and the many things that happened along the way. (:
Sneaks!
YES! I’ve finally got myself settled to get the photos for the next launch done! ((:
I know I know… I’ve been procrastinating way too long…
Strangle myself… ARGHX!
Hahahaha!
Okay! First up!
For the many working ladies out there, here’s a lovely piece to chase away your monday blues!!!
Love how it is so pretty that you can simply head out of house without much accessorising
Perfect for girls like me who tend to oversleep in the morning.
haha!!

Next will be myClosetdelights’ standard apparel style. Casual Chic! =D
And wow! Me like this photo! heehee!!!
Love how this piece is so casual and yet sophisticated and stylish at the same time!
Perfect for all occasions!
Be it to school, to town or even a lazy day out with your girlfriends.

And this! Love casual crop tops! =D
Since my life still revolves around school right now, school wear is hence a tremendous attraction for me when I hunt for clothes.
And for this, why I loved this so much is because it is so value for money.
I can either wear it this way or just the tank top alone.
Either way, it is perfect for the tiresome day in school.
And the next one was the most fabulous of all.
Feels so feminine and demure while wearing this.
Plus! It is like super cooling cuz well… it’s laced! =D
Totally sheer but just pair it with a tube or a spag. top and off you go!!!
Brillant right!?!? =D
There might be more pieces coming up in the following collection but I guess I can only preview them after I manage to find them amidst the many random folders I have in my external harddisk right now.
So yeaps!
Stay tuned!!!
Lessons tml. Ciaos~
latest loots
Whoops! Went on a short hiatus from blogging again.
Firstly because I was busy with ushering and secondly, because I have no comp!!!
Went to IT fair on Sunday and traded in my old Fujitsu.
But because I’ve got work later in the evening, YS brought it home for me.
Only to pass it to me last night.
Imagine stuck at home all day with nothing to do apart from SCV-ing.
Haha!
But anyway, say hi to my new laptop.
Still trying to get used to the keyboard

And Ooo!! Got myself a new camera from the IT Fair too!
Super broke now…
Sold my old Nikon D3000 to replace it with Canon EOS 550D.
Another entry-level camera but oh wells, I had always been a lover for Canon’s colours.
